The Department of the Environment developed the new APP of hikes and trekks in Mallorca. It is posible to download it for free for the iOS systems like Android.
This APP provides tourist detailed information about the Ruta de Piedra in Seco, the Ruta Artá Lucas and family routes in the island of Mallorca. Besides, it is suppossed to introduce more of a new hike routes.
The application offers user information about selected hike, height profile, number of kilometres left to go to the destiny and the exact position where the user actually is. On the top of that the APP explicitly reveals the interesting and attractive services and points of the villages or trails traveled. The tourist also has direct access to the reserve page of the Consell de Mallorca.
In the last four years, almost 50 km of roads have been opened and marked on different routes, like the second stage (Estellencs-Banyalbufar), the seventh stage (Son Amer-Puente Romano) of the Ruta de Piedra in Seco or the route Lucas-Esporles, the old road from Planícia or the road of Ses Tres Creus.
